Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Conduct nine non-diagnostic annual screenings daily, Monday through Friday, for public safety personnel.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and maintain professional interactions with patients and department heads.
- Work full-time to ensure the delivery of high-quality physical examinations and provide patients with screening results and follow-up recommendations.
*This position involves frequent travel, requiring you to be away for one week at a time. Travel will occur within a 60-mile radius of your primary location, as well as outside this area. All travel expenses will be reimbursed, and a per diem will be provided based on travel location.
Qualifications
Education:
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) is mandatory.
- Certification as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner is required.
- A minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse or three-plus years as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is essential.
Certifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be expected to:
- Perform general health examinations.
- Provide clear communication of lab results and guidance on any abnormalities.
- Have a foundational understanding of cardiology and pulmonology.
- Collaborate closely with Ultrasound Sonographers and Exercise Physiologists to convey ultrasound findings to patients and relevant department heads.
