About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ford/Lincoln Technician to join our team at Richmond Ford Lincoln. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, communicating with customers, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning systems.
  • Test-drive vehicles to verify work and proper operation of systems.
  • Communicate directly with customers to ensure they are well-informed of any additional services needed.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and special service equipment to perform repairs.
  • Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications
  • Ambitious and hardworking individual with a strong work ethic.
  • 2 years of service technician experience preferred.
  • Ford testing/experience a plus.
  • Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Positive and friendly attitude.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures.
  • Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
