Summary/Objective:

As a vital member of the Field Operations team, you will engage in a dynamic and energetic atmosphere, playing a crucial role in enhancing the game day experience. Our mission is to ensure a top-quality playing surface that is safe, playable, and visually appealing for both athletes and spectators. Your duties will encompass the preparation of the field and equipment for practice sessions, as well as the maintenance and repair of the playing surface and surrounding areas before and after games. Additional tasks will include in-game tarp management and the upkeep of workspaces. This position will also assist with post-event clean-up and various other responsibilities essential for maintaining the quality and cleanliness of the playing surface and its facilities. H star is dedicated to providing memorable guest experiences alongside exceptional entertainment value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the dismantling of batting practice setups.
  • Prepare the field for competitions and conduct post-game repairs of the playing surface after each event.
  • Manage tarp operations during games.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the workshop and with equipment.
  • Conduct repairs and clean-up following games and events.
  • Uphold the integrity of the entire playing surface.
  • Consistently represent H star in a professional manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; six to twelve months of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential; candidates should be knowledgeable, well-groomed, assertive, and capable of managing conflict situations.
  • Ability to engage in physical activities (e.g., tarp handling, lifting heavy items, manual labor).
  • Competence in safely operating machinery.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Attention to detail and adaptability to fast-paced and changing situations are crucial.
  • Familiarity with stadium policies, procedures, and navigation is required.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, evaluate situations, and respond appropriately.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a respectful and courteous manner.
  • Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends during the sports season is necessary.
  • Capability to work in various weather conditions is required.
  • Minimum age of 16 years is required.
Work Environment:

This position operates in an outdoor setting. The role frequently utilizes field equipment and hand tools designed to ensure a premium playing surface. The noise level is typically moderate but can become loud within the stadium environment. Employees must be able to perform in a high-activity outdoor professional sports venue and may be exposed to varying weather conditions for extended periods while fulfilling job responsibilities.

Physical Demands:

This is an active position. Specific vision abilities required include close and focused vision. Individuals must be capable of working outdoors, sometimes for prolonged periods. Additionally, the role requires standing, walking, climbing, carrying up to 50 pounds, crawling, and occasionally jumping.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

Flexibility in scheduling is essential, including the potential for extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

No travel is anticipated for this role.
