The Pediatric Healthcare Assistant is responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service and care to patients and their families.
- Managing daily patient flow for healthcare providers.
- Answering phone calls and appropriately triaging inquiries.
- Preparing examination rooms for patient visits.
- Escorting patients to examination rooms and preparing them for assessments.
Responsibilities include:
- Measuring height and weight, obtaining vital signs, and reviewing current medications and allergies.
- Completing necessary surveys and documentation.
- Rooming patients and performing vision and hearing screenings as required.
- Assisting healthcare providers during sick visits, well-child visits, and sports physicals.
- Cleaning and restocking examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Supporting front desk operations as needed.
- Performing administrative tasks as requested.
- Collecting blood samples and preparing laboratory tests.
- Explaining tests and procedures to patients and their families in a reassuring manner.
- Administering vaccines and managing supply orders.
- Providing patient education and maintaining hygiene standards within the facility.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems, particularly electronic health records.
- Empathy and understanding of pediatric patients' needs.

Candidates should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a Medical Assistant certification and relevant experience.
This role requires:
- The ability to stand, sit, walk, and use hands for various tasks.
- Occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds.
