Key Responsibilities

The Pediatric Healthcare Assistant is responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and care to patients and their families.
  • Managing daily patient flow for healthcare providers.
  • Answering phone calls and appropriately triaging inquiries.
  • Preparing examination rooms for patient visits.
  • Escorting patients to examination rooms and preparing them for assessments.
Patient Assessment Duties

Responsibilities include:

  • Measuring height and weight, obtaining vital signs, and reviewing current medications and allergies.
  • Completing necessary surveys and documentation.
  • Rooming patients and performing vision and hearing screenings as required.
  • Assisting healthcare providers during sick visits, well-child visits, and sports physicals.
  • Cleaning and restocking examination rooms and medical equipment.
  • Supporting front desk operations as needed.
  • Performing administrative tasks as requested.
  • Collecting blood samples and preparing laboratory tests.
  • Explaining tests and procedures to patients and their families in a reassuring manner.
  • Administering vaccines and managing supply orders.
  • Providing patient education and maintaining hygiene standards within the facility.
Required Skills and Qualifications
