Software Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at The Hartford. As a key member of our Sales and Distribution IT team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining various software applications using C#.NET and JavaScript.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software solutions for multiple platforms and business solutions
  • Experience with emerging AWS Cloud skills and Cloud database like Snowflake to build new applications and maintain existing applications on the Cloud
  • Leverage architectural standards and safeguard the integrity of the application environment
  • Function as the go-to technical subject matter expert for the software applications supported
  • Share knowledge with team members regarding development guidelines and best practices
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in application software solution development and execution skills using C#,.NET Core, and JavaScript
  • Experience with general purpose programming languages such as Python
  • Knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft Power Platform solution
  • Experience with one or more relational database technologies such as SQL Server Database and Snowflake
  • Familiarity with Microsoft ETL tech stack like SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with continuous integration and DevSecOps methodologies
  • Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodology
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate with others within a team environment
