Join Our Team as a Software Development Engineer

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for designing and building software engineering solutions in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build software engineering solutions in cloud environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business
  • Work closely with product teams to design and understand requirements from users and DS partners
  • Make architectural decisions on both UI and backend systems
  • Guide a small team technically on aggressive timelines

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with designing and building software engineering solutions in cloud environments
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more modern languages, such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, SQL, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience with APIs, microservices, and modern software patterns
  • 2+ years of experience in GCP ecosystem with hands-on development using BigTable, Spanner, GKE, and cloud functions
  • 2+ years of experience in building observability and fail-proof systems for 24/7 uptime
  • 1+ year of soliciting complex requirements and managing relationships with key stakeholders
  • 2+ years of experience independently managing deliverables

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfortable independently leading and completing tasks
  • Familiarity with different phases of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills within and across teams
  • Experience with complex systems and solving challenging analytical problems
  • Knowledge in GCP architecture, commands, and experience designing and optimizing software and data engineering patterns
  • Working experience of CI/CD pipeline, GIT, Stash, Bit Bucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, etc.
  • Previous healthcare experience and domain knowledge

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
