SUMMARY:
The Clinical Support Technician is responsible for performing designated patient care tasks and supportive services under the direct oversight of a Registered Nurse. This role is essential in addressing the personal, physical, and emotional requirements of patients across various age groups, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, as well as their families. The position aligns with the core values, objectives, policies, and procedures established by the Nursing Department and Medical Center Administration.
The technician is expected to demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver appropriate care tailored to the age of the patients served within the nursing unit or patient care department.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should possess a general understanding of high school-level subjects, which may include basic sciences, fundamental medical procedures or terminology, and familiarity with office equipment. BLS healthcare provider certification is preferred. Successful completion of a Certified Nurse Aide Training Program or proof of current certification is also necessary.
Experience:
Minimal experience is required for this position. Candidates may rely on their educational background and knowledge pertinent to the role. A learning period of three to six months is expected, during which the technician must successfully complete Nursing Orientation.
