Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment, including power, water, steam, medical air, vacuum pump, and cogeneration engines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, including documentation and inspections.
  • Respond to emergency situations and perform corrective maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Install equipment and make adjustments as required to ensure safe and functioning systems.
  • Communicate effectively with staff at all levels regarding issues and concerns.
  • Prioritize workloads and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain accurate and timely submission of timekeeping documentation.
Requirements
  • Experience in working in loud, warm environments.
  • Working knowledge of power plant, cogeneration, and steam plant functions and operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work night, weekend, holiday, or rotating shifts as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to trouble-shoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment and facilitate repairs.
  • Skilled at reading and interpreting technical documentation and blueprints.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience reading and correctly interpreting one-line electrical drawings.
