  • Assist the doctor with medical procedures, including surgery, under their direct supervision
  • Provide high-quality care to all pets in the hospital's care and demonstrate excellent customer service to clients
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and their pets
  • Assist in surgery care, including pre-anesthetic protocol, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care
  • Manage medical records through practice management software
  • Dispense medication, perform x-rays, and provide treatments as needed
  • Set-up, breakdown, cleaning, and maintaining of medical equipment
  • Assist with cleaning all areas of the hospital

Requirements:

  • Comfortable interacting with animals of all kinds with calm and compassion
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
  • Certified veterinary technician (preferred)
  • Associate degree in veterinary assisting (preferred)
