Job Description and Duties

The Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission is seeking a highly skilled Staff Services Analyst to join their team in the Basic Training Bureau. As a key member of the team, you will provide analytical support to internal staff and external stakeholders, ensuring the effective implementation of complex regulatory and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical assistance to internal staff and external stakeholders on regulatory and statutory matters.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate various meetings, workshop presentations, and legislative changes affecting basic training programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory and statutory requirements, providing expert advice and guidance to the team.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills and in-depth understanding of complex regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

This position is located at POST headquarters in West Sacramento, CA. The office is located in a two-story building with a business park setting. Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position.
