Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Automation Specialist to join our team at Kinder Morgan. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing preventive maintenance procedures, training terminal personnel, and performing advanced troubleshooting to assist terminal operators or contract employees performing maintenance repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

Configure and support Toptech Multiload, Accuload, TMS5, and TMS6 systems.
Program, maintain, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley SLC 500/Micrologix/Control Logix PLCs, GE Fanuc PLCs, and C-more touchscreen HMI's.
Install and troubleshoot serial and ethernet communications over fiber optic and copper cable.
Perform tasks involving AC, DC controls, and analog controls.
Troubleshoot single and 3-phase electrical circuits.
Assist and/or provide guidance for local operations in light mechanical maintenance and repairs.
Develop and/or update procedures related to terminal automation and terminal preventative maintenance programs.

Requirements:

2-year associate degree in Electrical Technology/Electronics or similar, plus 4 years of applicable experience maintaining electrical/instrumentation and mechanical systems for liquids terminals.
Must be capable of working in all weather environments.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable by the Company Insurance Carrier.
A Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) must be obtained upon employment.
Must accept direction and supervision and work effectively and cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

4-year bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology/Electronics, plus 4 years of applicable experience.
