Job Summary

The Quick Lube Technician position at Foundation Automotive Corp is responsible for servicing vehicles for oil changes and performing various tasks assigned by the manager, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle maintenance systems, including oil changes, tire rotations, and flushes.
  • Perform thorough checks of customer vehicles, referring needed repairs and preventive maintenance to the Service Advisor.
  • Operate and maintain lubrication equipment, performing all lubrication services.
  • Receive repair orders from the Service Salesman or Production Foreman and proceed to service the vehicle.
  • Lubricate vehicles while identifying other items that may need repair.
  • Ensure all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts.
  • Use adequate amounts of materials and supplies.
  • Keep customer vehicles clean and only driven for business purposes.
  • Maintain a neat and clean shop area, accounting for all dealership-owned tools.
  • Stay current with the latest diagnostic methods and service techniques across various brands.
  • Participate in service training activities and attend factory-sponsored training classes.
  • Communicate regularly with the service advisor/dispatcher to confirm repair order information and diagnostic results.
  • Meet customer service standards by achieving 'above district' customer service scores.
  • Follow established safety protocols and report any shop equipment in improper working condition.
  • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations.
  • Safeguard dealership assets and customer data.
  • Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.
  • Adhere to a consistent and reliable work schedule.
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening.
  • Authorization to work in the USA.
