Overview

The Security Specialist plays a vital role in supporting security and loss prevention initiatives within the Distribution Center, aligning with division goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement loss prevention and shortage control strategies, actively identifying various forms of loss and promoting engagement in shortage control efforts.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for all personnel and visitors, including facility staff, drivers, and sales representatives.
  • Provide security for company assets, including warehouses and offices, protecting against theft, vandalism, fire, and unauthorized access.
  • Utilize diverse methods to monitor and assist in tracking product shortages.
  • Investigate reports of suspected internal theft, violence, or other criminal activities involving associates.
  • Oversee and assist in managing third-party security services.
  • Conduct compliance audits related to company shrinkage within the distribution center and facilitate improvements in shrink results.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant agencies, coordinating investigations as necessary.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements

20-30% travel may be required between locations.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.

Physical Demands

This role involves considerable physical activity, including sitting, typing, walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and lifting up to 56 lbs. Additional hours may be necessary during peak periods.

This position is classified as safety-sensitive, requiring a drug test, including a marijuana test, for candidates receiving a conditional offer of employment.
