About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dietitian to join our team at Dignity Health – St. Bernardine Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nutrition assessments and diagnoses, considering the clinical condition, age-specific populations, and cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Identify malnutrition and other nutrition diagnoses, closely monitor and evaluate patient nutrition status, and update plans of care as necessary.
  • Implement targeted and specific nutrition interventions based on specific medical conditions, conduct motivational interviews, and provide customized nutrition education to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with the multi-specialty care team to contribute to overall patient care and participate in hospital committees, such as Quality and P&T committees.
  • Support the management of the facility diet manual and ensure patient diet and nutritional compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with completion of an accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics).
  • Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe Allergen and Food Handler Certifications.
