Job Title: Manager, Professional Development

Lakeshore Learning Materials, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Professional Development to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in the growth and development of educators, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide high-quality guidance to educators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and manage professional development programs for educators, including designing and delivering training sessions, workshops, and coaching sessions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of professional development programs and make necessary improvements to ensure they meet the needs of educators.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set clear team goals and KPIs, while managing day-to-day operations and monitoring team performance.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and direction to professional development specialists, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to support educators.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in the education industry, applying this knowledge to inform professional development programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required; master's degree strongly preferred.
  • 6-plus years of experience in professional development, with at least two years of developing, coaching, or leading other people (or equivalent experience).
  • Background in Early Learning and Head Start; elementary education a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, team player mentality, and ability to perform outstanding work from home.
  • Experience with CLASS.
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching strategies and methodologies.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience in team management, leadership, and people development.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 and Salesforce.
  • Ability to travel nationally (up to 75% of the time).
