Job Title: Leading Educator for Young Minds

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated teacher to join our team at Gateway Charter School as a Kindergarten Teacher. As an educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and helping them develop essential skills and knowledge.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Instruction/Education Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, aligning with the school's philosophy and objectives.
  • Purposefully design educational strategies that maximize student learning opportunities and time on task.
  • Develop and utilize effective communication skills to present subject matter, fostering a deeper understanding among students.
  • Analyze student records to identify areas of strength and weakness, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized classroom environment that promotes student growth and development.
  • Foster a positive rapport with students, staff members, and parents, demonstrating patience and nurturing qualities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies governing student conduct and maintain order in the classroom through fair and consistent means.

 

School/Community Relations:

  • Cultivate cooperative relationships with parents/guardians through clear, consistent, and positive communication.
  • Collaborate with administration, staff, and CSUSA to ensure a cohesive and supportive school environment.
  • Participate in parent communication activities and extracurricular events to foster a positive school culture.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent

Possession of valid teaching certification (as appropriate)

Minimum one to three years of successful teaching experience (including student teaching internship)

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong command of grade/subject-specific content and theoretical knowledge of learning theory

Understanding and commitment to company values

Successful results of criminal and employment background check

Effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills

Adherence to the requirements of the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession

 

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience
