Position Overview:
In this position, you will spearhead initiatives related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation technologies, robotics, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and ongoing process enhancements. The salary for this role is competitive, ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, complemented by quarterly and annual bonuses, comprehensive benefits, generous paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose and rectify operational challenges and machinery malfunctions, conduct investigations into equipment breakdowns, prepare follow-up reports, and provide technical support to production staff.
2. Troubleshoot PLC-driven machinery on the production floor and ensure effective resolution follow-ups.
3. Perform root cause analysis for equipment-related challenges.
4. Contribute to the design, enhancement, and deployment of automation solutions across the manufacturing site.
5. Upgrade outdated control systems and programming on existing machinery.
6. Identify and resolve system issues, including sensors and equipment.
7. Program and maintain HMIs at each production center.
8. Assist in developing the organization’s preventive maintenance and continuous improvement strategies, implementing tools and methodologies to enhance productivity.
9. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to establish a unified vision for daily engineering tasks and report on progress.
10. Ensure compliance with safety standards and legal requirements for all completed work.
11. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Engineering Management Team.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in controls and/or automation engineering within a manufacturing context is required.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and basic programming with Allen Bradley PLCs is essential.
- Familiarity with Ladder Logic is necessary.
- Experience in leading or supporting automation projects in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ideal candidates will have a background in upgrading outdated control systems and programming.
- Ability to read blueprints and experience with design systems is required.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Candidates should be self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
