Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical support to our fundraising efforts by conducting prospect research, analyzing data, and developing strategic plans to engage and secure donations from key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Portfolio Optimization Meetings: Collaborate with Development Officers to schedule meetings and prepare materials to optimize prospect portfolios.
  • Data Audits and Hygiene: Conduct regular data audits and hygiene projects to ensure the accuracy of prospect management and research data in our CRM system.
  • Documenting Business Processes: Assist in documenting and maintaining prospect development business processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Prospect Research: Conduct basic and comprehensive prospect research requests, including contact information lookups, gift capacity rating calculations, and biographical data lookups.
  • Fundraising Priorities: Monitor and track fundraising priorities to guide prospecting efforts and ensure alignment with university goals.
  • Wealth Screening System: Monitor and coordinate the automated prospect wealth screening system, referring promising prospects to frontline fundraisers.
  • News Monitoring: Monitor news sources for information relevant to known and potential prospects, passing on relevant news alerts to fundraisers.
  • Prospect Development Support: Serve as a resource for fundraisers, providing support and training on prospect development processes and information.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and three or more years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess problems and determine creative solutions, and solid communication skills to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ability to navigate our CRM system.
