The Healthcare Support Specialist will oversee program participants and provide assistance to psychiatric providers and nursing personnel. This role is essential in ensuring the seamless delivery of program services within a secure and therapeutic setting.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Compensation: $18.93 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage incoming calls and verify records for compliance and insurance prior to scheduling appointments.
  • Promptly arrange follow-up sessions as required.
  • Coordinate psychiatric appointments for program participants efficiently.
  • Maintain precise and current logs to facilitate timely scheduling of follow-up visits.
  • Ensure continuity of care across facilities by proactively gathering necessary documentation or relevant information from external sources.
  • Provide clerical support to medical leadership.
  • Offer backup coverage for medical staff within the healthcare suite.
  • Conduct health history assessments, assist with vital sign evaluations, and prepare reports for providers ahead of appointments.
  • Transcribe medical directives accurately.
  • Document significant information daily in health records.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one year of experience in addiction treatment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Certification as a CNA, CMA, EMT, or higher.
  • Completion of CPR and First Aid training within three months.
  • Experience in utilizing behavioral management techniques.
  • Ability to lead discussions and deliver educational presentations.
  • Possession of a valid Illinois driver's license.
