Role Purpose: Oversee client interactions while assisting psychiatric professionals and nursing staff with client health evaluations during psychiatric consultations. Ensure the continuity of program services in a manner that is ethical, legal, and moral, maintaining a safe and therapeutic atmosphere that aligns with relevant regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications/Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one year of experience in addiction treatment or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Certification as a CNA, CMA, EMT, or higher.
  • Completion of CPR and First-Aid training within three months of hire.
  • Experience in applying behavioral management strategies.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and educational sessions.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with agency insurance prerequisites.
  • Alignment with the mission and vision of Rosecrance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to scheduled work hours as established by leadership, fulfilling additional hours as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  2. Manage incoming calls, verify records for compliance and insurance prior to scheduling, and determine the appropriate platform for appointments.
  3. Promptly arrange follow-up sessions for clients after their psychiatric consultations as deemed necessary.
  4. Coordinate psychiatric appointments in collaboration with direct care personnel.
  5. Ensure a full booking of psychiatric appointments to achieve a 100% fill rate.
  6. Maintain accurate logs for clients with approved scheduling and ensure notifications are recorded for timely follow-up visits.
  7. Facilitate continuity of care by proactively gathering hospital discharge documentation or other relevant information prior to client appointments.
  8. Provide clerical support to medical leadership, including entering note templates for psychiatric providers.
  9. Follow up on unposted or draft notes for psychiatric providers as needed.
  10. Offer backup support for medical staff within the clinical suite.
  11. Conduct health history assessments, assist with vital sign evaluations, and prepare reports for psychiatric providers prior to consultations.
  12. Transcribe medical directives.
  13. Communicate follow-up information to clients regarding ongoing medical concerns.
  14. Monitor and document client responses to medications, reporting any significant changes immediately.
  15. Document relevant information daily in the electronic health record based on client interactions.
  16. Advocate for all clients, reporting any physical or psychological concerns to medical and clinical staff.
  17. Actively participate as a key member of the clinical team, promoting collaboration and inclusivity during team meetings and activities aimed at enhancing client care.
  18. Work with the medical records team to ensure compliance with charting standards.
  19. Comply with all principles outlined in the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
  20. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to all clients.
  21. Serve as a role model for colleagues and clients, demonstrating positive relations in representing Rosecrance.
  22. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts

  • Shift: 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Monday - Wednesday, with alternating weekends.
