Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at QuEST Global in Jacksonville, FL. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing component installation, system maintenance, and repair work as assigned, as well as carrying out preventive maintenance and service as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative and planned maintenance on manufacturing floor equipment and lines as directed.
  • Obtain tools, material, and equipment for carrying out work assignments on electro-mechanical systems, control devices, and related equipment.
  • Ensure quality and workmanship of repair.
  • Assist others responsible for complex installation, overhaul, and repair projects in preparing materials and operating equipment.
  • Assist others working on joint projects where common skill crossover provides the opportunity for shared responsibilities and more effective use of available skills.
  • Completed the daily work area clean up.
  • Prompt reporting of malfunctioning equipment and machines.
  • Working within EH&S guidelines as defined by OSHA.
  • Training, obtaining, and maintaining licenses, operator permits, and certifications (as necessary).
  • Participation in Company and Department sponsored EH&S and Quality initiatives.
Requirements:
  • HS Diploma/GED with 4 years of experience OR AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 1-3 years' experience.
  • Must have maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Specialty experience with Electrical, HVAC, or Pressurized Systems.
  • Must be able to perform planned/preventative maintenance.
  • Must understand Controls or PLC's.
  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be a US Citizen.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.

Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.

Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.

Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.

Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM

Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
