Theatre and Cinema Instructor Opportunity

Hartnell College is seeking a qualified instructor to teach part-time in the theatre and cinema department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in drama and performance, with experience working with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities
  • Teach part-time in the theatre and cinema department
  • Develop and implement curriculum for drama and performance courses
  • Work with students from diverse backgrounds to promote student success and excellence
  • Implement strategies to close equity gaps for students
  • Foster a sense of belonging and self-efficacy among students
  • Use an equity-minded framework in teaching and service activities
Requirements
  • Master's or Master of Fine Arts in drama/theater arts/performance
  • Experience working with Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and other historically underrepresented and underserved populations
  • Commitment to empowering students and fostering cultural humility in the classroom
  • Experience using an equity-minded framework in teaching and service activities
Compensation

$69.85-$83.03 per hour for instructional assignments

$59.60-$70.58 per hour for non-instructional assignments

This position is not eligible for benefits.
