The Clinical Supervisor of Nursing, Ambulatory RN, plays a pivotal role in striving for quality and safety outcomes while facilitating the professional development of clinical staff. This position acts as a clinical leader and resource for all clinical personnel in collaboration with practice management, which includes responsibilities such as recruitment, coaching, training, education, and performance evaluation feedback. The role emphasizes talent retention through effective training and development of underperforming staff.
Collaboration and Improvement
This position works closely with nursing administration, practice leadership, and other administrative teams to enhance clinical services, implement process enhancements, and support quality initiatives. The Clinical Supervisor may also assist with patient rooming and triage as necessary, adhering to established quality standards set forth by Community Health Network.
Qualifications and Skills
Ideal candidates should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, possess outstanding communication skills, and maintain a positive approach to problem-solving. Applicants must be graduates of an accredited nursing program recognized by the National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA), or have three years of relevant professional nursing experience.
Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Indiana, as per the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in a medical office setting and two years of clinical supervisory or leadership experience.
Proficiency in computer skills for documentation and work-related tasks is essential. Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks are necessary. Demonstrated customer service skills are crucial for providing an exceptional experience for patients and their families.
