Role Summary

We are in search of a driven and seasoned Senior Tax Accountant to enhance our operations. This position features a unique accelerated path to partnership and offers an average of 42.6 hours of work per week during peak tax season, significantly below the industry norm. You will receive competitive compensation comparable to traditional firms while enjoying 720 fewer hours of work annually, allowing you to reclaim over four months of personal time each year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement:
    • Actively nurture client relationships.
    • Prepare and finalize tax returns.
    • Performance Indicator: Maintain an average of 10 returns processed daily, with less than 3% requiring amendments.
  • Peer Review and Guidance:
    • Conduct peer reviews of tax returns and provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
    • Performance Indicator: Complete 4-8 hours of peer review weekly, with less than 5% of returns needing rework.
Qualifications
  • Essential:
    • At least 3 years of experience in tax accounting.
    • Experience in reviewing tax returns.
    • Strong understanding of tax regulations and strategies.
    • Proficient in tax preparation software.
    • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Desirable:
    • Professional certification (such as CPA or EA) is advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Experience in mentorship or training roles.
