Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Dietitian to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a key member of our nutrition care team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition care to patients and clients, developing and implementing individualized nutrition care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary medical teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and formulate comprehensive nutrition care plans for patients with physician referrals or registered nurse screening referrals.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to establish nutrition-related goals and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients and clients, modifying nutrition regimens according to food preferences, tolerances, and cultural and religious preferences.
  • Document nutrition care plans in medical records, including nutrition assessment, monitoring parameters, goals, and recommendations.
  • Outline nutrition education to patients and/or families, considering age, religious beliefs, and cultural background.
  • Coordinate cross-coverage and handle multiple demands simultaneously.
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and standards related to time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.
  • Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
  • Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
  • Demonstrate commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
