The Installer plays a crucial role in adhering to the Supervisor's guidance to ensure the installation of KOHLER products meets and surpasses industry benchmarks and client expectations. Professional conduct is essential, both on-site and while representing the KOHLER brand throughout the workday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the work area for suitability before commencing demolition or installation, identifying any visible issues that may hinder the achievement of KOHLER's installation standards.
  • Verify installation details with clients prior to starting, utilizing a confirmation form for clarity. Clearly explain the installation process to build trust and confidence with the customer.
  • Oversee assigned apprentices, monitoring their performance throughout the installation process.
  • Maintain a tidy and professional workspace, including the exterior of the customer's property and the work vehicle, during the workday.
  • After installation, guide the customer on product usage and maintenance, providing KOHLER cleaning products and explaining their proper application.
  • Upon project completion and customer approval, ensure final payment is collected as outlined in the installation package and obtain necessary signatures on completion documents.
  • Timely reporting and updates in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system as directed by the Supervisor are essential.
  • Deliver the following services and materials as part of the installation process:
  • Review warranty information with the customer.
  • Demonstrate product usage to the consumer.
  • Complete the permit closure process.
  • Collect final payment.
  • Provide informational materials for all the above services.
  • Familiarize oneself with the organization's policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory codes to ensure compliance in all work.
  • Adhere to HS&E policies and procedures to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the safety of oneself and others.
  • Conduct thorough analyses, quality tests, and inspections requiring independent judgment.
  • Extract and input relevant data into spreadsheets or standard formats as necessary.
  • Suggest improvements in manufacturing methods and processes, providing feedback on changes.
  • Engage in continuous learning and skill development through formal and informal training opportunities.
  • Effectively solve problems by analyzing complex and sometimes contradictory information.
  • Prioritize tasks to align with organizational goals and commitments.
  • Work independently while providing technical guidance on planning and organizing activities to meet installation objectives efficiently.
  • Implement safe work systems independently and offer technical guidance when needed.
  • Employ customer-focused behaviors to foster positive interactions with clients, creating memorable experiences.
  • Utilize a systematic approach to address technical issues by identifying problems and selecting appropriate solutions.

Skills and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one year experience in bathroom remodeling or installation, with a preference for bathroom installation experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions are essential.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 100lbs and stand for extended periods is required.
  • Ability to reach overhead and work in various positions, including crawling and crouching.
  • Preferred experience operating a company vehicle.
  • A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required for operating the company vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% overnight, depending on job site locations.

The hourly wage for this position is $42.90. The specific rate offered may vary based on factors such as experience, education, and work location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
