FP&A Consultant Job Description

Conexus Recruiting is seeking an experienced FP&A Consultant to join our team for a 2-3 month project. The ideal candidate will work on-site 4 days per week in Santa Fe Springs, California.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Modeling:
  • Design and build comprehensive financial models from scratch to support business planning, investment analysis, and decision-making.
  • Ensure models are flexible, scalable, and user-friendly, incorporating key business drivers and assumptions.
Budgeting:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate budget workshops and training sessions to educate stakeholders on budgeting processes and best practices.
Forecasting:
  • Create and maintain rolling forecasts, analyzing trends and variances to provide accurate financial projections.
  • Develop scenario analysis and stress testing to assess potential financial impacts of business decisions and market changes.
Data Analysis:
  • Gather and analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
Reporting:
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, providing guidance on best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (CFA, CPA) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a proven track record in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
