POSITION SUMMARY:

The Surveillance Systems Technician is accountable for the setup, upkeep, and troubleshooting of all surveillance apparatus at Four Winds Casino.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of all Gaming Commission regulations and ensures compliance across the facility.
  • Handles the installation and servicing of all Analog/IP Cameras, DVR/NVR systems, Surveillance Workstations, and Displays.
  • Responsible for the cabling, labeling, and installation of connectors on various types of wiring and cross-connect panels.
  • Collaborates with senior Systems Engineers regarding the specific tools and materials required for designated projects.
  • Follows preventative maintenance protocols aimed at reducing system failures.
  • Maintains surveillance system components by providing support for workstations, decoders, and cameras integrated within the system.
  • Conducts inspections of wiring connected to all surveillance devices, identifying and rectifying potential issues or hazards.
  • Effectively communicates any discrepancies to management.
  • Documents and tracks inventory of equipment and supplies to ensure availability of spare parts.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Accountable for the precision and completeness of departmental records and reports.
  • Maintains an orderly and organized workspace, including Surveillance Storage Areas and IDF Closets located throughout the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A High School diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

One year of technical experience in casino surveillance, or an Associate's degree in a related field (Electronics, Electrical, or Network Engineering) or military electronics training is preferred.

Completion of the Dallmeier Systems training program within six months of hire or transfer is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Familiarity with closed-circuit television equipment is preferred.

Excellent technical and communication skills are essential.

Experience with gaming surveillance technology and knowledge of cabling standards is advantageous.

This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, such as technical reports, schematics, and CAD drawings. Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints from guests or regulatory bodies. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.

MATH SKILLS:

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Proficiency in understanding and applying Ohm's Law is required.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to leverage technical expertise to meet the Surveillance department's technical and reporting needs. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with Surveillance department staff. Ability to create and manage queries/reports using various software tools. Ability to think logically and follow detailed instructions.
