Position Title: Facilities Maintenance Specialist
Overview: Responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of facilities, support systems, laboratory, and production machinery, with a primary emphasis on safety and equipment dependability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Follow established policies and procedures while executing maintenance tasks.
• Organize, plan, and carry out corrective maintenance activities as instructed by the maintenance supervisor or manager.
• Address urgent needs to ensure safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
• Execute facility and equipment installations and modifications under engineering guidance.
• Demonstrate experience in small panel assembly and wiring installation.
• Repair machinery as necessary.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks.
• Implement minor machine modifications.
• Perform metal fabrications, including welding, flame cutting, sawing, and drilling.
• Fabricate components using machine tools.
• Coordinate and execute mechanical aspects of facility start-up and support system operations.
• Assist with equipment installations, including millwright work, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Manage and coordinate external service providers.
Work Schedule: This is a third shift position.
Required Skills:
- Industrial Maintenance Expertise
- Electrical Troubleshooting and Repair Skills
- PLC Troubleshooting and Repair Skills
Employment Type: This is a permanent role.
Work Environment: The organization specializes in processing chemicals for adhesives utilized in the manufacturing of printed tapes, adhesive products, and pharmaceutical adhesives. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential; team members are required to wear static-free outfits similar to scrubs, along with safety glasses, ear protection, and static-free safety footwear. Additional hair and beard nets are mandatory due to regulatory compliance.
