Talent Software Services is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating facilities and equipment to determine the appropriate fire protection requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fire hazard analyses and develop fire protection plans for various facilities, including power plants, oil and gas processing facilities, water treatment plants, and data centers.
- Apply state and local codes and standards, such as IBC, IFC, NFPA, and others.
- Communicate fire protection requirements to internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Generate fire protection specifications, piping and instrument diagrams, and hydraulic calculations.
- Review and verify the accuracy of sprinkler and alarm drawings and calculations.
- Collaborate with city and local officials to obtain necessary permits and variances.
- Maintain a culture of quality and safety within the organization.
Requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in fire protection engineering.
- Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and have a Professional Engineer registration in Fire Protection or Mechanical engineering.
- Experience working with power plants, oil and gas processing facilities, water treatment facilities, or data centers.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards.
