About the Role:
This position is for a full-time Civil Engineer who will play a crucial role in supporting various civil engineering initiatives. The successful candidate will be self-driven and capable of applying core engineering principles and design standards independently. You will collaborate with Project Managers and design teams to produce project deliverables, which will include engineering reports, design plans, quantity calculations, and construction administration tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design of sanitary sewer collection systems.
- Stormwater management and treatment design.
- Development of water system pumping facilities and distribution networks.
- Designing roads, parking areas, subdivisions, and site developments.
- Utilizing design software to adhere to engineering design standards.
- Assisting in the preparation of construction plans and specifications.
- Overseeing construction administration tasks such as project bidding, inspection, and documentation.
- Ensuring quality assurance and compliance with company standards.
- Effectively communicating design analyses and results through written reports.
- Traveling to various job sites as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain an Engineer-in-Training (EI) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license within one year of employment if not already licensed.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Experience:
- Five years of experience in civil engineering is preferred.
- Possession of a Montana PE license is advantageous.
- Experience in surveying and materials testing certifications.
