Job OverviewPosition Title: Production Associate

The selected candidate will oversee the operation of a milk pasteurization system, ensuring it functions correctly. Responsibilities include monitoring temperatures and acting as the primary support for the lead operator. In periods of downtime, the individual will assist in various departments, such as packaging and production. Proficiency in reading temperature gauges and graphs is essential.

Caves Production: Candidates will be responsible for bagging and lifting cheese wheels weighing up to 35 pounds. The working environment in this section maintains a temperature of 53 degrees, and daily sanitation tasks will be required.

Production: This role is highly physical, requiring rotation through multiple tasks, including shoveling and stirring milk in a vat. This process separates liquid whey from the milk, transforming it into cheese curds. The individual will manage two vats daily, each necessitating 45 minutes of continuous hand stirring. They will also package curds into cups that are automatically filtered from the vat and will rotate to a position where they stack curd totes.

Required Skills
  • Minimum of 3 months of experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in food production is advantageous)
  • Ability to interpret temperature gauges and graphs
Preferred Attributes
  • Capability to stand for 8-10 hours daily
