About the Role:
As a Per Diem Patient Access Representative Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient experience by greeting and welcoming patients in person. You will be responsible for collecting demographic and financial data, entering information into an electronic medical record, and directing patients to their appointments or procedures. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome patients in person, providing a positive first impression of our healthcare services.
  • Collect demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Check in and interview patients to complete necessary paperwork, ensuring a seamless registration process.
  • Direct patients to their appointments or procedures, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Document any issues or resolutions in the electronic medical record, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Use resources, tools, and procedures to complete registration for complex accounts, demonstrating expertise and attention to detail.
  • May assist in scheduling add-on appointments, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Verify eligibility and benefits information for payers, interpreting results and resolving complex billing situations.
  • Obtain cost information and explain it to patients, ensuring transparency and understanding.
  • Collect co-pays or deductibles, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist and counsel patients with application processes for available financial assistance programs, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Provide technical or functional direction for employees, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
  • Use resources, tools, and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist patients in completing request for information forms and submit them to the appropriate department, ensuring timely and efficient care.

Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work on a per diem basis, irregular schedule within any of the following shifts: 7 days per week.
  • Day Shift: 8.5-hour shift starting anywhere between 5:30am-9:00am.
  • Evening Shift: 8.5-hour shift starting between 2:30pm-3:00pm.
  • Night Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am.
  • Ability to work holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with electronic medical records.
  • 2+ years of revenue cycle experience in a hospital/healthcare setting.
