MedSurg Registered Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled MedSurg registered nurse to join our team at Pender Memorial Hospital's 1 West unit. This unit offers a unique small, family atmosphere, fostering close-knit relationships among staff and patients alike.

Nurses here gain familiarity with the entire hospital and become integral members of the community they serve. As the unit evolves to accommodate a changing patient population, nurses can learn a wide array of skills and enjoy considerable independence and autonomy in their practice.

Situated in a prime location for gaining valuable experience with trauma cases, it provides an excellent opportunity for nurses to develop their skills in the Emergency Department setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' conditions and health needs.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and coordinate their care within the healthcare system.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in nursing.
  • Current North Carolina Nursing License or Multi-State/Compact.
  • Familiarity with hospital-wide operations and community integration.
