Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Pender Memorial Hospital's MedSurg (1 West) unit. This unit offers a unique small, family atmosphere, fostering close-knit relationships among staff and patients alike. Nurses here not only gain familiarity with the entire hospital but also become integral members of the community they serve.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' conditions and health needs.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and coordinate their care within the healthcare system.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree in nursing.
  • Current North Carolina Nursing License or Multi-State/Compact.
  • Adaptability to accommodate a changing patient population.
  • Familiarity with hospital-wide operations and community integration.
  • One-year relevant experience, preferred.
