Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various administrative and clinical duties under the direction of your assigned supervisor, including:
  • Measuring and recording vital signs
  • Recording patient interview, history, and chief complaint
  • Preparing patients for examinations and performing routine screening tests

  • Phlebotomy and collection of lab specimens
  • Performing basic lab tests
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining patient logs for lab requests, CT scans, and other treatment orders
  • Maintain the back office with good flow, including:
  • Keeping rooms full
  • Assisting with room turnover
  • Accurate and complete room set-up for physicians
  • Ensuring patient medication is updated before physician visits
  • Setting up for in-office surgical procedures
Requirements
  • Certifications, Licensures, or Registry Requirements:
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Registration
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to perform well in stressful situations
  • Knowledge in healthcare systems operations, such as EMR and Practice Management Solutions
  • Communication skills and customer service orientation
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 months experience working in a physician's office, preferably in urology
