Position Summary:
The Automotive Lube Specialist is tasked with providing essential vehicle maintenance services, primarily focusing on oil changes and other related tasks as directed by management, adhering to both dealership and manufacturer standards. This role is pivotal in fostering customer loyalty through trust and assurance in vehicle safety and dependability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and maintain vehicle systems, including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid flushes.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of customer vehicles (e.g., battery, lights, tires) and communicate necessary repairs and maintenance to the Service Advisor.
- Utilize and manage all lubrication equipment effectively, ensuring all lubrication services are performed accurately.
- Receive and execute repair orders from the Service Salesman or Production Foreman, proceeding to the service lift as required.
- Lubricate the entire vehicle while identifying additional repair needs.
- Ensure all equipment, particularly lifts, are functioning correctly.
- Use materials and supplies judiciously, avoiding waste.
- Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and restrict driving to business purposes only.
- Keep the workshop area organized and clean, ensuring accountability for all dealership-owned tools.
- Stay updated on the latest diagnostic techniques and service methods across various brands, including reviewing bulletins and service manuals.
- Engage in training activities and attend factory-sponsored training sessions.
- Regularly communicate with service advisors and dispatchers to verify repair order and diagnostic details.
- Achieve high customer service standards, aiming for 'above district' customer satisfaction scores.
- Adhere to established safety protocols, reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety incidents immediately.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA requirements.
- Protect dealership assets and maintain customer confidentiality.
- Complete all required training through the company training portal.
- Maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule.
- Exhibit ethical business practices and integrity in all professional interactions to uphold the Foundation Automotive brand.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to provide personal tools.
- Successful completion of pre-employment assessments.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
