Role Overview:
The Construction Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of construction projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively within established timelines and budgets. This role involves a significant amount of travel, as the manager will work on-site at various locations for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the installation of Military Satellite Communication Towers from initial planning through to project completion.
- Collaborate closely with senior management to develop and refine construction strategies.
- Conduct site assessments and oversee logistics, material flow, and on-site supervision.
- Recruit and manage subcontractors and construction teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Monitor project performance against established metrics and timelines.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of construction practices and a proven track record of managing multiple projects successfully. They should be adaptable, calm under pressure, and possess a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Essential Skills:
- Extensive experience in general contracting and construction management.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, particularly in concrete, foundation work, and electrical installations.
- Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in coordinating large-scale construction projects and managing diverse teams.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or general contracting.
- Must be a US Citizen or a qualified US Person in compliance with ITAR regulations.
- Ability to pass military clearance and background checks.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
