Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist, you have the opportunity to advance your career and specialize in Mammography. Our training program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a certified Mammography Technologist.

Job Description

Our Mammography Training Program is a comprehensive 40-hour program that includes training in positioning, compression, physiology, breast anatomy, QA/QC, and breast implants. You will have the opportunity to observe and participate in a minimum of 25 mammograms before performing exams. You will also complete image critique with a designated expert and participate in a group review of 25 exams with a Radiologist.

Requirements

To be eligible for this program, you must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and have prior completion of ARRT Structured Education Requirements for Mammography. You must also have current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in x-ray and current State of South Carolina Licensure. Additionally, you must have current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
