We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Prevention Specialist to join our team at Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing supportive interventions, consultation, and AoD prevention groups for children and/or adolescents and possibly families in participating service programs throughout Stark County.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supportive interventions with children and/or adolescents to promote positive social, emotional, and behavioral development.
  • Implement strength-based resiliency and skill building curriculum for indicated and/or selected population in various programs and schools.
  • Provide consultation and behavior intervention services by request to support the well-being of children and families.
  • Develop and run parent-child events to support social/emotional development and parent education around behavior management, resiliency, and AoD prevention.
  • Maintain accurate records of service delivery and timely completion of paperwork to ensure seamless communication with our team.
  • Promote a climate that fosters resiliency and positive social, emotional, and behavioral development among children, youth, and families.
  • Attend collaborative team meetings to create positive change within the community and stay up-to-date on best practices in the field.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to function well as a team member.
  • Cultural competence and willingness to work with clients and families within various and diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
