Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Coordinator to join our team at Universal Health Services, Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our patient units.

Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Patient Care: Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for patients and families.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare staff, providing clear and concise communication to ensure effective care coordination.
  • Inventory and Documentation: Conduct thorough inventory and documentation of patient personal belongings, ensuring accurate and secure storage.
  • Office Operations: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring efficient use of office equipment and supplies.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant or Unit Clerk in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid TX Driver's License, CPR, and CPI certifications required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond to patients with empathy and positive interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others, responding to patients with a willingness to cooperate and support.
  • Organizational: Proficient in documentation organization and time management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
