This is a unique opportunity to join National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) as a Roadway Worker In Charge.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and a 401(k) retirement plan.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee railroad flagging services for Class 1 Railroads, Regional Short Lines, Transit Systems, State DOTs, as well as Railroad Suppliers, Contractors, and Consultants alike. As a Roadway Worker In Charge, you will be responsible for providing jobsite coordination, clear and concise communication with dispatchers, train crews, and other railroad personnel, and enforcing all railroad, state, and federal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide jobsite coordination and ensure that all work is performed safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, train crews, and other railroad personnel to ensure seamless operations.
  • Enforce all railroad, state, and federal policies and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve rule violations in accordance with applicable regulations.
Requirements
  • A strong background in railroad engineering, design, construction, and safety.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively, sometimes for extended periods of time.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
