Job Summary

As a Clinical Pharmacy Professional at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in providing patient care through the provision of direct operational and/or clinical patient services. You will collaborate with the department to enhance departmental operations and clinical programs, participating in departmental committees and providing education as needed. This position requires flexibility, including working weekends, evenings, and holidays, with the amount of time allocated to operations and clinical services dependent on staffing and overall pharmacy workload.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provides accurate medication order-entry, drug distribution, and patient care, confirming the appropriateness of drug therapy for patients of all ages.
  2. Responds to requests for drug information in a timely and concise manner.
  3. Supervises pharmacy support personnel, verifying the accuracy of tasks performed and functioning as a lead pharmacist to monitor workload and workflow.
  4. Provides lab review, clinical services, patient education, and corresponding documentation via departmental clinical initiatives.
  5. Offers experiential education and training for technicians, students, and new employees.
  6. Represents the department in its collaborative effort to integrate pharmaceutical care throughout the patient's continuum of care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree - BS or PharmD degree
  • South Carolina Pharmacist License
  • Basic Computer Skills, Data Entry, Math Skills
