### Key Responsibilities

* Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care throughout the surgical experience
* Maintain a positive and caring attitude with patients, physicians, and staff
* Properly handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures
* Anticipate the needs of surgeons based on requests and patterns
* Monitor the sterile field and ensure its maintenance
* Assist in ensuring that proper supplies, instruments, and equipment are available for procedures
* Monitor equipment functionality and assist with inventory control
* Participate in continuing education to meet State requirements and stay current with healthcare changes
* Demonstrate professionalism in the workplace and community as a representative of Proliance Surgeons

### Education and Experience

* Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
* Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
* Current State licensure and CPR
* Two years of direct experience desired

### Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in using a computer
* Knowledge of applicable specialties
* Ability to remain objective and composed in stressful situations
* Ability to communicate clearly and establish effective working relationships with staff
* Consistency and timeliness in attendance

### Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work may be performed in an office and clinical environment. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is required to sit for long periods of time, stand and walk, bend and stretch. Use of telephone and computer is required. Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds. May require working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
