About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist Resource to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a Surgical Technologist Resource, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our perioperative department, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-ups, passing instruments to surgeons and nurses, and maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Prepare and move patients, sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms, and coordinate functions and activities for all surgical specialties.
  • Cover specialty services in the absence of the RN specialty leader and assist in orienting new hires and training staff for surgical specialties.
  • Participate in strategic planning and related implementation activities, and maintain a high level of professionalism and teamwork throughout the perioperative department.
Requirements
  • Two years of surgical tech experience, with experience in a specialty field preferred.
  • Computer skills required, and completion of an approved Surgical Technician program.
  • Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist, and certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • Physical Requirements: Medium Work - exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly.

Our surgical unit has 17 rooms, including a hybrid room, designated cardiac OR, and a Cystoscopy room, with two DaVinci Xi Robotic systems allowing us to provide robotically assisted procedures in general, urology, gynecology, and thoracic specialties.

Pay and Shift Information

The pay range for this role is $28.81/Hr. to $47.11/Hr., with a shift of Days. We offer various shifts and schedule opportunities to maintain a positive work-life balance, and self-scheduling has recently been implemented.
