Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and expertise in anesthesia services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in the perioperative or periprocedural period
  • Provide expert airway management, including specialized techniques such as fiberoptic bronchoscopy and video laryngoscopy
  • Document and review patients' histories, order and perform diagnostic tests, and use specialized equipment
  • Prescribe and administer treatments in all aspects of anesthesia, including monitored anesthesia care, general anesthesia, and regional anesthesia
  • Provide acute and chronic pain management, and participate in quality assurance projects and patient safety initiatives
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
  • Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
  • Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board Certification in Anesthesiology
  • Five years of Anesthesia experience
