About Us

New Directions for Veterans (NDVets) is a rapidly growing organization dedicated to improving the lives of veterans. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Transitional Recovery Assistant Director to join our team.

This is a dynamic role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience working directly with participants within a therapeutic community or social model recovery program.

A high school diploma is required, and proficiency in office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use is essential.

The estimated salary for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive and supportive environment within the facility and with residents.
  • Develop and implement strategies to encourage resident participation in programs and activities.
  • Coordinate liaison efforts between programs, case managers, and other imperative departments.
  • Monitor resident behavior and provide guidance to clinical or case managers as needed.
  • Support the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and healthy environment within the facility.
  • Oversee the distribution of program supplies to residents.
  • Conduct regular room inspections and address any concerns with facility management.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop and implement effective incident response plans.
  • Participate in staff trainings and department meetings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
