We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center's BMT - Transplant Cellular Therapy Infusion Clinic in Dallas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, and performing various clinical tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' medical needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy and non-chemo medications, as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform central line draws, blood transfusions, and other clinical procedures.
- Chart patient information, including medication administration and vital signs.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on various aspects of their care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
- Current Texas nursing license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- One year of RN experience, preferably in hematology/oncology or transplant nursing.
