Additional Duties:
  • Performs other job-related responsibilities as required.
Employment Qualifications:

Educational Requirements: Completion of a foundational pre-service Vocational Nurse curriculum accredited by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners, or completion of an educational program leading to an Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. License: Must possess a current valid license as a Vocational Nurse issued by the State of California, or a temporary license, or an interim permit to practice as a Vocational Nurse issued by the State of California. Vocational Nurse II must be State certified to initiate intravenous infusions. Probationary employees with a temporary license or interim permit must obtain their California Vocational Nurse license within their 6-month probationary period or face termination.

Depending on the assignment, applicants may be required to undergo an extensive background check and fingerprinting. Felony convictions will disqualify candidates, while misdemeanors and traffic offenses will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
