The Acquisitions Director will lead the development and execution of Brixmor's capital recycling goals in the Western region. This role will be responsible for underwriting, sourcing, negotiating, and closing all real estate acquisitions in the region, working closely with the transactions teams and regional professionals to make informed capital allocation decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a disciplined investment approach to drive acquisitions in the Western region.
- Source and underwrite potential acquisitions, conducting due diligence and closing deals.
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, brokers, and operators to identify target submarkets and assets.
- Collaborate with regional leasing, redevelopment, and operations professionals to optimize capital allocation decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of retail transactions experience, with a focus on the Western US and California.
- Demonstrated local market knowledge and strong industry relationships.
- Understanding of real estate investment and leasing fundamentals.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Detailed experience with Argus and Excel.
Brixmor offers a competitive salary range of $155,000 - $170,000, plus participation in our long-term incentive plan and annual cash bonus plan. We also offer a hybrid work schedule and a benefits package that supports career growth and well-being.
